The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 50 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. As Software Engineer with us, you will join an inspiring team that works with completion of the world?s largest power transmission links. It is an independent job with lots of responsibility and you will have great opportunities to develop your skills within HVDC. You will primarily develop protection solutions for our projects, where it is crucial that you have the ability to see HVDC?s protection systems as a part of the total network. The Systems department is responsible for design, testing and commissioning of the protection system for our HVDC links. We work with both AC and DC protection and they are implemented in HVDC?s own control system MACH.
Requirements
You have a Bachelor or Master in Engineering within Electric Power and preferably a few years? work experience. As we work in an international environment, strong communication skills and fluency in written and verbal English is required. It is qualifying with experience in protection applications and protection development. You are an open-minded, curious and responsible person with great ambitions. Moreover, you enjoy working individually as well as in teams to achieve common goals.
