Axis is an IT company offering network video solutions for professional installations. Axis products and solutions focus on security surveillance and remote monitoring, and are based on innovative, open technology platforms.
The System competence group within Axis focus on identifying and implementing technologies aimed at increasing the value of the network for surveillance applications. This includes technologies for unit discovery, management and communication as well as leveraging system functionality by developing and exploiting synergies across the network.
As Software Engineer within the System competence group you will contributing to the above described work by doing embedded programming, software design and software maintenance within the system competence area.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Typical candidates have a technical Master's degree and excellent embedded Linux and C-programming skills. They have knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol stack and experience in network programming. Ability to put own work in relation to high level system context is essential and experience of application programming in Linux is highly valued.
Knowledge of some additional area(s) within network architecture, system design, TCP/IP infrastructure, ease-of-use or network security will be considered as merits.
Furthermore we believe candidates function well within teams, contributing on both a technical and social level. Creativity, persistence and a strong drive are other central characteristics that we value when recruiting for this position.
Very good communication skills in written and spoken Swedish and English are required.
