Description
The Client is now looking for an architect with experience of PLM software and implementations to contribute in the Business Tech area "Product Design & Development"
The Client is currently in the process of defining its future landscape of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). With the fast pace of change in retail, and an evolving PLM software market, they envision a Hybrid landscape for our groupwide PLM capabilities with a combination of custom developed applications and as well as commercial/COTS PLM software. Technology is an accelerator in our way of viewing our future landscape and we are looking to establish a flexible and modern tech foundation for our PLM capabilities.
The Client is just embarking on the journey of building this hybrid PLM landscape and are now looking to strengthen the team when they establish the framework, principles and connections in their future PLM landscape. The Client want to make sure they make the best decisions for each capability when deciding whether to build or buy software.
The Client is now looking for an architect with extensive knowledge and experience in PLM software and implementations to support the product teams and the area to identify and evaluate the right choice of tech solution for our various PLM capabilities. The candidate must have experience from different PLM software as well as different types of PLM implementations. They do not see a scenario where their PLM capabilities will be run on a single PLM software, so the experience and view from combining COTS solutions with custom development to create value is key. The Client work with modern cloud based architecture and on a global scale.
Work tasks:
• Evaluate PLM software from a technical perspective, ensuring it aligns with the technical ambition of our future landscape
• Establish guidelines for software evaluations and train and support the product teams in this.
• Together with our lead architect, define, discuss and communicate our target architecture and impact to stakeholders and impacted product team
• Work together with lead architect and team to plan and prepare for the implementation across product teams
• Together with the team, set strategy for co-existence and phase out of current PLM solutions
Mandatory competence and experience:
• Experience from several PLM software, covering a range of PLM capabilities
• Experience from multi-application PLM implementations on a large/global scale
• Cloud knowledge
• Fluent in English
Preferred competence and experience:
• Experience from PLM hybrid implementations
• Experience from custom development projects/initiatives
Preferred personal qualities:
• Ability to understand and analyse complex information and share it in effective and powerful communications
• Ability to understand people psychology and to connect to people to encourage new behaviors
• Ability to take responsibility, work proactively and continuously improve activities in complex, quickly transforming environments
