UIQ Technology is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications.
About the position:
We are looking for 3 skilled software engineers with focus on analyzing performance bottlenecks and proposing improvements to design and code. You will be working with functionality in for example the
applications handling MMS, Email, SMS, Agenda, Contacts and a few more.
You will be part of our growing team and continue to develop the UIQ Platform, which incorporates the latest technologies, standards and UI design for upcoming mobile phone releases. Software
engineers, Test engineers and interaction designers work in close co-operation in the team to get the best possible value into the product.
Your tasks will include evaluating software designs, analyzing code and proposing changes to improve the performance where needed. We work tightly together in small teams and always strive to deliver
the highest quality to our clients. To complete the UIQ Platform we use CodeWarrior/C++ for Symbian OS in a Windows based environment.
Education:
A university degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or in a related field is required, as is the following:
Knowledge:
• Experience in object oriented analysis and design
• Writing and understanding English
• Experience in analyzing performance
We invite graduates, skilled developers, and senior developers with software engineering skills in C++, Java or .NET to apply for this position. Experience from Symbian C++ programming is qualifying,
although not required.
