At the moment we are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Firmware Interfaces team within our Research & Development organization.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will be working with development of functional and architectural additions and enhancements in the camera platform. The role involves embedded systems programming using C and Linux. Furthermore you will design and develop external API:s that are going to be used both internally on Axis and by 3rd party developers.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe that you are a team player with good social skills and a genuine and solid interest in programming. You are responsible and take pride in delivering quality on time. As a colleague, you are willing to share your knowledge with your coworkers and at the same time you are eager and willing to learn from your team members.
You have:
• An Engineering degree or equivalent BSc or MSc
• Very good C-programming skills
• Very good Linux skills
Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following is desirable:
• Experience in designing APIs for 3:rd party developers
• Embedded systems programing
• Debugging
• Script languages, e g Python
• Developing for the open source community
• Build tools and version control system (e.g. Git, Buildbot)
• Writing automated test cases
TEAM FIRMWARE INTERFACES
Firmware Interfaces is part of our Product & Services department. Within the Firmware Interfaces team we are responsible for developing the external APIs, the SDK and the Web GUI used in Axis' network cameras.
Product & Services is a unit within Research & Development responsible of supporting the products on the market. We work close to the sales and support organization worldwide and help them in their day to day challenges.
