At the moment we are looking for a Software Engineer to join our New Video Products department within our Research and Development organization.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Axis is continuously working on automating tests in production of new cameras. We strive for both higher quality and higher efficiency in the production lines. In this position you will mainly work on software development for production jigs needed to align image sensors and optics to ensure best possible image quality under given conditions. The position contains all aspects of software development from requirements collection, system design, software design, implementation, debugging and documentation.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a passionate engineer with a genuine interest in software development and system design. You are an excellent networker and a creative person that has a good track record of delivering results in a timely manner. We further believe that you have the following formal qualifications:
• A Master’s Degree in Computer Science or similar
• Excellent knowledge in C#, .Net, C++, MFC and
COM/Active X
• Knowledge about client server communication over
TCP/IP networks
• Good knowledge in English
If you also have experience from the following it is considered an extra plus:
• Optics, image sensors and image analysis
• I/O devices, motor controllers and similar
On a personal level we believe you are a positive and open individual that can communicate well with both peers and stakeholders from various parts of the organization.
THE NEW VIDEO PRODUCTS DEPARTMENT
The position is part of the product development department (New Video Products) even though the actual work will be done close to the production and production test systems. New Video Products is the organization within Axis R&D that runs the development projects of physical products, such as cameras, video encoders and accessories. Our development projects starts with an idea of a product and ends when the product is available for purchase in the market, thus including industrialization – start of production. We are a large part of Axis R&D and continue to grow to meet the demand for new innovative products that can fulfil the need of our customers.
