We are now seeking a fantastic software development engineer to our team with focus on the Technology Product Platform.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?

In the product platforms team you will play a very important role using all your amazing engineering abilities within the embedded systems arena, working with state-of-the-art HW and tools to create and form our leading technology.
Your responsibilities are:
• Be a key player in the development process of our technology platform
• Experimenting and developing new functionality to enhance our product portfolio as well as looking ahead and be part of the specifications for coming platforms.
• Work with the Linux kernel, device drivers, image and analytics frameworks, new video ICs, FPGAs, low-level SoC programming and tools. Taking into consideration restrictions like bandwidth, power and memory sizes.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You are a talented and energetic person with the ability to work unsupervised. You are humble, open minded, eager and willing to learn. You always take full responsibility and have high pride in delivering quality on time. In order to be successful in this position we believe that you are flexible, have great engineering skills and an excellent attention to details.
As teamwork is crucial for Axis as a whole and for our team it’s important that you can contribute with good spirit and commitment in the creative and stimulating work environment.
You have a Master's degree in computer science or similar and are a dedicated and innovative individual with a strong personal drive. We believe you have a keen interest and skills in embedded programming, that you have excellent C programming experience from working with Linux SW and kernel development.
Your English is fluent, both written and verbal.
THE PRODUCT PLATFORMS TEAM
You will be working in the Product Platforms team consisting of 25 very experienced and dedicated engineers that develop the foundation for Axis future products.
We are responsible for and deliver the SW technology platforms on which the product development organizations build cameras. The team is also a competence center in the R&D organization for the Linux kernel and HW device drivers.
The typical employee in our team has a Master's degree and works in roles such as software engineer, technical lead or technical expert. Our goal is to efficiently run SW platform development projects that enable delivery of products to the market with high quality to strengthen Axis' leading position.
