At the moment we are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Product Maintenance department within our Research and Development organization.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
We constantly need to increase our capacity to support and improve our products on the market. In order to maintain the overall quality of Axis products, we need to quickly analyze, implement and deliver the modifications requested by the market.
You will be working for a development team supporting our sales and customers services organizations and will be responsible for:
• Troubleshooting of different issues reported by customers via our support organization.
• Developing new functionalities requested by the market.
• Releasing Service Releases for our video products.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a passionate engineer with a genuine interest in software development, trouble shooting and debugging. You are able to work in small teams as well as independently and since the position have many interfaces it's important that you have good communication skills.
We further believe that you have the following qualifications:
• A Master's Degree in Computer Science or similar
• Documented C programming.
• Embedded Systems
• Linux environment
• Good knowledge of Computer Networking
• Knowledge or interest in Sensor Technology, Optics and Image Processing
On a personal level we believe you are a positive and open individual that can communicate well with both peers and stakeholders from various parts of the organization.
THE PRODUCT MAINTENANCE TEAM
Product Maintenance is a unit within R&D responsible of supporting the products on the market. We work close to the sales and support organization worldwide and help them in their day to day struggles. Our team work specifically with firmware and is part of the Global Product Maintenance Team (PMT) which deals with all type of cases from Hardware to Application Software. We also make sure that the Axis product portfolio maintains an overall good quality to the satisfaction of our customers.
