The software development team is part of PacketFront’s R&D department with offices in Kista, Sweden and Shanghai, China. We focus on new product development, but also play a major role in the evolution of PacketFront’s overall solution, including the award winning control- and provisioning system BECS, and the state-of-the-art operating system iBOS, running on our broadband routers.
Job Description

We believe that you have outstanding knowledge within one or several of following areas:
• Design and development of distributed management systems
• Client/server software, TCP/IP socket programming
• Embedded system/resource efficient/threaded programming
Very good knowledge in:
• Data- and network communication (ARP, Ethernet, IP, DHCP, OSPF, IGMP, PIM)
• C programming, preferably in Unix environment.
• Operating system internals (mem. mgmt, proc. scheduling, interrupt handling etc.)
Experience within following areas is meriting:
• Layer 2 network design and management
• PON technology
• MPEG, VoIP, QoS
• TCL , Perl or other scripting languages
Personal capabilities:
• You feel comfortable using English in your daily work, both spoken and in writing.
• Quick learner with a structured approach and analytic skills.
