Since 1989, we have helped energy companies and industries remain competitive in a rapidly changing industry.
Our software Energy Optima 3 helps energy-producing companies to, among other things, reduce their costs and CO2 emissions and helps the green transition.
We have customers in over 50 energy companies in Europe and also in Asia, and we offer support in the local language.
We also have partnerships with major international companies in automation, such as Valmet Automation.
You will work in a team of flexible and skilled software developers, energy technicians, salespeople and IT technicians of various ages and backgrounds.
Our office is located in a creative business environment at Ideon Science Park in Lund, Sweden.
About the role
We're looking for a Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join our development team as we modernize and evolve our software platform within the energy domain. You'll play an important role in our since long ongoing transformation from a desktop application part to a web-based, cloud-ready architecture. The role is truly full stack, covering both backend services and web applications, while collaborating closely with colleagues who specialize in frontend development.
This is a role for someone with solid experience who enjoys working with complex systems, taking ownership of features, and contributing to long-term technical improvements.
What you'll do
• Design, build, and maintain full-stack solutions across backend services and web applications
• Develop and evolve a microservices-based architecture
• Work with .NET (C#) for backend development
• Contribute to web applications using React and TypeScript
• Build and integrate APIs and event-driven solutions using message brokers
• Contribute to our migration from a monolithic desktop client to web-based solutions
• Collaborate closely with frontend specialists, backend engineers, product management, IT department (Devops) and energy technicians.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and release planning.
• Take ownership of features from design to production
What we're looking for
• 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
• Strong experience with .NET (C#; VB.NET experience is a plus)
• Experience building full-stack applications
• Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures
• Solid experience with SQL Server
• Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
• Familiarity with React and TypeScript
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Podman
• Comfortable working in agile, collaborative teams
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Nice to have
• Experience with Azure and Azure Cloud certifications
• Experience with TeamCity and modern CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with DotTrace, DotMemory, or similar profiling tools
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience modernizing legacy systems or migrating desktop applications to web architectures
• Swedish language skills (or willingness to learn)
Why join us?
• Be part of a long-term modernization journey, not just greenfield projects
• Influence technical direction and engineering practices
• Work with a modern and evolving technology stack
• A skilled, international, and supportive development team
• Hybrid work model: 1-2 days per week from home
• A stable company with a strong position in the energy sector
