What 's in it for you

The Data Analytics team within Enterprise Information Services develop, manage and maintain the Volvo Cars enterprise data & analytics platform. Our team is cross-functional, consisting of data engineers, developers and data scientists developing applications and services with direct or indirect connection to our cars. The Data Analytics team is recently established and you will be an important player in that team from the very beginning.

We are now looking for an experienced Software Engineer, Machine Learning to complement our team with machine learning and software development knowledge, to operationalize and deploy our machine learning applications. You will use your technical skills to tackle break-through machine learning and software engineering challenges at one of the world's most tech-intensive car manufacturers.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer, Machine Learning you will work with Software Development in machine learning solutions and packaging of machine learning pipelines according to deployment requirements. You will pro-actively drive and enhancing the group's core infrastructure (e.g. build systems, automated code-quality assessment) and apply machine learning.

Experience of specifying and implementing analytical ecosystems, including (big) data architecture and full stack analytics capabilities is highly valued.

You and your skills
* MSc or equivalent training in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering
* 3+ years of working experience
* Experience in infrastructure specification and development
* Experience with all or most of the following: Python, R, C, C++, Scala, Java, and with version control systems (preferred Git)
* Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments
* Cloud services (e.g. Azure, Amazon Web Services)
* Programming machine learning based solutions to real-world problems

* ? Distributed programming (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, MPI)
