At the moment we are looking for a Software Engineer in our Technology department.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Software Engineer focusing on algorithms in the Core Technologies Imaging team you will be evaluating and developing image processing algorithms for both hardware realization and algorithms in software.
Your main tasks will be to:
• Develop and improve algorithms for image processing and the camera system, e.g. algorithms controlling exposure, calibration and contrast.
• Develop and improve HW image processing algorithms which will be realized in HW taking into consideration restrictions like bandwidth, power and memory sizes.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you have a genuine interest in image processing and have a Master’s degree in engineering or computer science. You will be working in a team of experienced engineers developing the foundation for Axis future products.
You have knowledge insoftware development of embedded systems, image processing, e.g. filtering, color reconstruction, scaling, binning as well as experience from simulation tools e.g. Matlab. You need to have a feeling for image quality and the ability to visually judge different aspects of a digital image. Knowledge of FPGA- or ASIC-design is a plus but not a requirement.
We also believe you have an interest in photography, optics and image sensor technology. Your English is fluent, both written and verbal.
THE TEAM
The Core Technologies Imaging team is a team of 25 engineers and we are responsible for development of imaging processing algorithms as well as integration of optics systems and sensor technology for Axis products. We deliver technology platforms on which the product development organization builds cameras. The team is also a competence center for the R&D organization in areas of image processing, sensor technology and optics.
