We currently have the following job opening;
Software Engineer Diagnostics
The function area Powertrain Engineering is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. The Powertrain Controls and Calibration unit is responsible for the development of the control systems for new global transmissions and hybrid systems from the early concept phase to industrialization. These transmissions and hybrid systems will be the main technology for the Geely group.
We are now hiring a Software Engineer Diagnostics that will be located in the Electronics Hardware Team but will also work close to the Software Development Team.
In this position you will be coordinating between the transmission R&D department, the control software development teams, the test equipment supplier, and the manufacturing engineering team regarding diagnostics questions. You will also have a central role in:
Helping the R&D team define End-of-Line test procedures
- Defining the diagnostic control routines and I/O controls used during End-of-Line tests
- Convey the consequences and implications of the diagnostics systems to stake holders of the team
- Supporting the test equipment supplier with details about diagnostics and vehicle CAN signals
- Support with validation and verification test procedures for diagnostic
- Assist the manufacturing engineering team with troubleshooting and general software related questions
- Handle issues and introduce sustainable corrective measures.
- Support cost reduction initiatives.
- Support in End-of-Line cycle time optimization activities.
- Work together with Quality Assurers for quality improvement actions.
- Identify opportunities for improved testing, diagnostics and software execution and implementation as well as best practices.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Engineering
- Minimum five years' experience in software development
- Experience with CAN bus
- Understanding of, and experience with, the UDS diagnostic protocol on CAN (ISO-14229 and ISO-15765)
- Experience with Vector CANoe, vFlash, and/or ODXStudio
- Experience with C# coding
- Understanding of engineering theory and principles of software development including the manufacturing aspects
- Experienced with implementation of models and running simulations of system components
- Experience of troubleshooting and testing, e.g. system testing diagnostics or similar
- Good overall knowledge of transmission and hybrid control systems
- High motivation to work independently, in the teams and proactively
- Fluent in English
- Driving license type B
