Within the Penta Connectivity & Diagnostics portfolio in Group IT we are looking for a Software Engineer/Developer.
THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES
The Penta Connectivity & Diagnostics team consists of 30 people located in both Poland and Sweden. We continuously develop system solutions for our customers and dealers for the diagnostics of Penta products.
We work closely with our business stakeholders and develop solutions in an agile way to support the customer network with high quality solutions. We are entering the new era of Connectivity and Electromobility and our contribution brings a lot of business value and is highly recognized and appreciated across the Volvo Group.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As Software Engineer being the driver of software development during all product development phases (planning, design, implementation, deployment and maintenance). You will analyze, build, test and maintain software applications that are tailored to business specific needs.
You have a logical, analytical, and creative approach to problems and the ability to communicate with customers, colleagues, and management to explain complex issues.
The unique combination of analysis, technical skills and knowledge of various procedures, tools and understanding of business requirements give me the opportunity to analyze, build, test, and maintain software applications that are tailored to business specific needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive for new features in collaboration with product owners and design team i.e., research, design and write new software programs (e.g., business applications)
Build innovative solutions and technologies to improve quality and performance
Assure know-how and capabilities build-up for software engineer cohort
Develop detailed designs of medium complexity applications
Oversee and maintain all software engineering activities across products/teams
Responsible for the development of high quality, scalable and maintainable systems using service oriented architecture
Write and test code, refining and rewriting it as necessary and communicate with any team member involved in the project
Support end-users in runtime (e.g third line support)
Supporting the growth in the Diagnostics applications area
Be part of the Agile way of working
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PERSON WITH...
Good knowledge of all aspects of the software engineering process
At least 5 years' experience in systems development and a university degree in engineering or computer science or similar
Practical knowledge of Agile processes
Excellent knowledge of .Net Technology
Experience in the Diagnostics area is an advantage
