JOB DESCRIPTION
Axis is an IT company offering network video solutions for professional installations. Axis products and solutions focus on security surveillance and remote monitoring, and are based on innovative, open technology platforms.
You will be part of the System competence group with focus on identifying and implementing technologies aimed at increasing the value of the network for surveillance applications. This includes technologies for unit discovery, management and communication as well as leveraging system functionality by developing and exploiting synergies across the network.
You will contribute to the above described work by doing embedded programming, software design and software maintenance.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Typical candidates have a technical Master’s degree and excellent embedded Linux and C-programming skills. Experience in network programming is central. Additional skills in network planning or administration are highly valued.
You are familiar with the implications of limited resources in embedded systems on software development. You most likely have good skills in software modularization, module interface design and hardware abstraction techniques.
Ability to put own work in relation to high-level system context is essential.
Deeper knowledge of some additional area(s) within network architecture, system design, TCP/IP infrastructure, ease-of-use or network security will be considered as merits.
Furthermore we believe candidates function well within teams, contributing on both a technical and social level. Creativity, persistence and a strong drive are other central characteristics that we value when recruiting for this position.
Very good Swedish and English oral/writing communication skills are required.
