WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Software Engineer focusing on camera functionality you will join a highly skilled and experienced team that drives the camera platform development within Axis. In the Core Technologies Imaging team you will be implementing imaging control software for our imaging platforms.
Your main tasks will be to:
Implementing control software for image processing and the camera system,
e.g. algorithms controlling exposure, calibration and contrast. Adding imaging features and working with architectural changes in the imaging
module. Implementing low-level hardware drivers/backends. Developing and extending the imaging frame work where the algorithms execute. Supporting other parts of R&D in relation to imaging control functionality with trouble shooting and extending functionality.
You will be involved in all phases of the development from early idea generation, architecture work, implementation and test/debugging to releasing and supporting the platform.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you have a Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent, good experience of C programming in an embedded Linux environment and a passion for software development. Experience of python, Gnu tools, code analysis/profiling tools, and Git are an advantage.
The role as Software Engineer is collaborative and requires the ability to interact with many people inside the organization. You have good communication skills and are fluent in both Swedish and English, both written and verbal. You have a natural strong drive and high level of ambitions, but still you are humble and easy to interact with.

The team
The Core Technologies Imaging Platforms team is a team is responsible for development of imaging processing platforms on which the product development organization builds cameras. The platforms integrate image processing with the optics systems and sensor technology. The team is also a competence center for the R&D organization in areas of image processing, sensor technology and optics.
