Let us describe the challenge we offer
You will be a part of our BMS Software team, a part of the Polestar Propulsion department. This is a team with a mission to deliver results which exceed the customers' expectations. The team consists of software engineers, calibration engineers, test engineers and system designers.

If you are an innovative, open-minded person who believes that electrification is the future of the auto industry, we would like to hear from you.

This position is based at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you'll do
In this position the area of responsibility spans from researching innovative solutions to developing state of the art battery management software with test and release.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Design and secure autosar compatibility

• Designing, develop and validating software related to battery management systems in the vehicle but also support testing of the complete system in the vehicle

• Manage beta-testing and establish data-driven closed loop feedback of the performance, work with dashboards and metrics

Essentially, you will be our expert in how to implement software that will maximize the attributes like range, charging performance and energy efficiency and at the same time always prioritize battery safety and availability of the system.

Who you are
You have a strong will to create the future of electric vehicles - it's probably fair to call you an EV nerd passionate about solving climate changes. You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You are a fast learner and you're not afraid to try new approaches and out of the box methods. You have a holistic view, including vision, business and customers.

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

• Education within electrical engineering or other equivalent university degree

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.

• Previous experience in battery management systems (Matlab Simulink) and embedded ECU programming.

• Autosar development (DaVinci toolset)

At Polestar, you will be part of a cross-functional and international team, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication. Since Polestar's in a scale up phase you thrive by working in a fast-paced environment.

We are an electric performance brand, determined to improve the society we live in.

Is this you? If you are interested in joining the Polestar family, don't wait with submitting your application. We apply a continuous selection process and the job post will be open until the position is filled.
