Are you a Software Engineer with Full Stack experience that enjoys skill-sharing and likes pair programming? Do you feel intrigued by working in a team that has a crucial role in making sure our organization functions well in five new markets? Good, then you might be exactly the new team member we are looking for. We 're looking for a new colleague to join our TOC Engineering team. Come join us and be part of our continued success as we expand our services both in Europe, the USA, and Canada.

The Position
You will join an on-site team consisting of six Software Engineers (as a part of the Technical Operations Center) and work in an agile, QA- conscious tech organization with high demands on reliability. The team 's responsibility is to build solutions that support our Technical Operations Agents in their daily work. In addition to this, you will work to reduce incident resolution time, as well as effectively prevent them across our platform. This includes everything from automation, tooling, security, observability, and monitoring.

You will collaborate with developers across the whole organization, play a great part in our architectural decisions and make sure that these align with the rest of our platform and infrastructure. Your technical decisions and corresponding implementation of solutions will enable NENT to bridge the gap between cloud platform, operations, and development.

The journey ahead

As Viaplay is expanding into new markets and increasing our number of users, the importance of having good observability, monitoring and secure services is greater than ever. The TOC Engineering team plays an important role in keeping the services up and running and making everyday life easier for customer service, operations agents, and developers by automation manual processes and designing necessary tooling. You will be a valuable member of an autonomous team that has a broad area of responsibility; with constantly new things to learn, and new experiences to gain.

What we are looking for
We are on the lookout for a Software Engineer with solid experience in Full Stack development. You are a problem solver at heart, with great enthusiasm for tech. You thrive in an environment characterized by teamwork and enjoy collaborating on solutions. We also believe that you are an effective communicator, as you will be responsible for interacting with our stakeholders.

Ideal candidates also meet the following requirements:

• Solid back-end development skills with JavaScript, Node.js and preferably also in Golang
• Experience with front-end development, for example with React or any of the other leading Frontend libraries.
• Running services on AWS using containers an EC2, lambda functions, DynamoDB and more
• Draw architectural diagrams, write guides and documentation
• Design and implement solutions end-to-end across teams
• Experience with source code and binary repositories, build tools and pipelines such as Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CI/CD and Artifactory
• Experience with Docker
• Experience in, or being open to pair programming
• Used to give and receive code reviews

Bonus requirements that will make you stand out:

• Experience working with Python
• Experience in AWS Cloud Formation and/or Terraform
• Experience working with logs and metric systems, preferably OpenTelemetry and Splunk

What we offer you
Our HQ is in Stockholm, but our market is expanding beyond that. You will become part of an amazing company with great people, content and culture. Some of the benefits we offer you when working here are:

• An agile approach, freedom to try out new things and make decisions in an autonomous team
• A place to grow and learn from our mistakes. We have a learning and development-focused environment with an emphasis on knowledge sharing, training, and regular internal technical talks.
