For more than fifteen years we've entertained millions of players around the world with our award-winning games. Our experienced people have expressed their passion for phenomenal game feel, AAA audiovisual quality, and technical innovation in the Burnout & Need for Speed series and in Battlefield 1, Star Wars X-Wing VR, Starfighter Assault, Arcade for Star Wars Battlefront II and Firestorm for Battlefield V.
We believe that healthy, engaged teams make great games, so we place enormous value on collaboration, fresh ideas, and unique perspectives. We'd love to hear yours! Crunch doesn't help make a better game. We don't do it. For the past three years, we are very proud to have been recognised by gamesindustry.biz as one of the best places to work in the UK. Let's talk about how you could be a part of it.
The Challenge Ahead
For development teams looking to increase efficiencies and improve quality of their software, one of the most important places to focus is the software build process. This is where EA Development and Release Engineering(DRE) comes in. Development and Release Engineering is the intersection of DevOps, Release Management, Build Engineering, and Production Support.

We are looking for an engineer in this field to work at our Guildford office, with our team that is split between the UK and Sweden. You'll work with evolving the Continuous Integration and Deployment systems for the games being developed at Criterion and DICE.
You would also work with other teams in EA Europe, such as FIFA, Frostbite, and will report to an Software Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
This is an interesting and developing role that will need knowledge and experience from multiple disciplines within software development and practices. It's essential to be a great communicator since interaction with the game teams is essential to secure a high-quality service.
You will also manage the development of build scripts, installation procedures, and systems including source code control, build systems and issue tracking. We work with game development and our quality assurance and automation teams to ensure the final version is up to organisational standards.
