We are now looking for an SW Engineer to join our Core Technologies Imaging team within Research & Development.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Embedded SW Engineer at Core Technologies Imaging you will join a highly skilled and experienced team that drives the imaging area within Axis. Together with the team you will work in projects covering several key areas, e.g. sensors and optics, image processing, imaging related features and algorithms, from early definition until delivery to the product development organization. The team's activities result both in HW (ASICs) and SW used in the Axis products. You will work with implementation of our embedded software.
Your main tasks will be to:
* Develop and maintain our image processing software
* Strive for efficiency by contributing to our development environment including our Python based environment for algorithm development and debug tools.
* Develop stable and maintainable interfaces for our services
* Work closely with key counterparts at Axis to together form the future of Axis imaging, e.g other core technology areas such as analytics, graphics and encoding
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are passionate about what we do, and we think that you too have a passion for image processing SW. We believe you have a master's degree in computer science or similar. You have software development experience using efficient tools and automated environments e.g. Git/Gerrit/Jenkins. We think that you are used to automating recurrent tasks using appropriate tools e.g. Python. You know how to make the most of prototyping as an approach for finding solutions and when to start over and implement a maintainable solution.
We see a clear correlation between expression of curiosity and ability to develop solutions. Natural curiosity is something we look for. Background within image or signal processing is a merit. The role as Embedded SW Engineer is collaborative and requires the ability to interact with people inside and outside the organization. You have good communication skills and are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and verbal. You have a natural strong drive and high level of ambitions, but still you are humble and easy to interact with.
THE CORE TECHNOLOGIES IMAGING TEAM
The Core Technologies Imaging team is responsible for the development of the imaging processing architecture, features and algorithms, as well as for the camera sensor and optics vendor interaction and evaluation for Axis products. We deliver technology platforms on which the product development organization builds cameras. The team is also a competence center for the R&D organization in areas of image processing, sensor and optics technologies.
