What we do
Volvo Cars is transforming from a traditional manufacturing company to a disruptive force using new technology and we are looking for you who can contribute and be a part of one of our DevOps teams.

Product structure and Engineering tool is an Agile Release Train (ART) with the purpose providing an end-to-end solution for configuration tools. CPAM is an in-house developed application to authorize marketing and sales.

What you'll do
In the role of Software Engineer, you will be part of the DevOps team that is focused on agile way of working. We need you to be part of defining solutions and perform development and maintenance activity. In order to be successful in this you need to be able to be creative and keen on researching and learning. You are expected to promote software best practices, standards, and processes.

Your main responsibilities will include:
* Develop, drive consistent patterns, reusable components, and coding standards of UI infrastructure to support multiple car platforms
* Support the team with analyzing requirements and pinpoint architectural challenges
* Develop new features and functionalities iteratively, working from a minimum of requirements
* Proactively strive for a tool architecture with superior maintainability
* Always apply a DevOps mindset using agile/scrum methodologies

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you who is a senior APL and Angular developer with 10+ years of relevant experience in APL language and strong experience in Angular, as well as 10+ years of APL experience in development and enhancement and 2+ years of Angular experience in developing UI. You have a strong experience in windows server handling (setting up UI, services, backend), bug fix and incident resolving, and failure support. You have a strong knowledge of APL language and Angular technology like components, themes, and ag-Grid.

Furthermore, we see that you have the ability to do project assessment and provide recommendation and guide the delivery team to improve the overall quality of the projects, and that you have strong analytical and learning skills as adopting technology, language, framework, and the tool will be part of the day-to-day activity. You have extensive experience in developing highly available and highly scalable solutions and you are able to work in a fast-paced agile development environment.

Finally, you have a strong understanding of software engineering best practices such as agile principles, and you have knowledge of 3SCALE, Azure DevOps, and MQ.
