Job Description
Capability area Intralogistics has the assignment to create value by optimize digital and physical flows in IKEA logistics and fulfilment units, by providing innovative, technology driven, automated solutions and simplify the life of our IKEA co-workers, working hand in hand with the business.
As a Software Engineer in the Intralogistics capability area, you will work in a modern cloud based Azure environment and be a part of the team developing our data platform, integrations and digital products - IDS (Intralogistics Digital Services). You will be regularly involved in workshops and brainstorms with process, product, solutions and user teams to determine and deliver on our target state.
More specifically, in this role you will be accountable for:
Responsible for the development and operations (maintenance) of the software code for the assigned technology domain, platform, or product.
Delivers tested, ready to be deployed and well maintainable code that support and enable business needs according to the agreed planning and budget. Following defined architectural principles, security requirements, rules, best practices, guidelines and interoperability requirements.
Deliver, develop and execute software development activities in the assigned technology domain in line with the business plan and agreed architecture.
Work in agile teams (still within the assigned technology domain), contributing to the development and maintenance of products and solutions.
Works closely together with other software engineers and functions to produce all required design documentation and ensures that solutions work together and fulfill business needs. Continuously improving the overall productivity, componentization/modularization and simplicity of the code.
In this role you will report to a CHDM (Competence Hub Development Manager in Intralogistics.

To be successful in this role, we believe you are an experienced Software Engineering who is able to naturally and effectively communicate, collaborate, network and build relationships across a complex organisation. You should also be able to make advanced technical solutions understood and embraced by both technical and non-technical co-workers.
We believe you can lead yourself, lead others and business development in complex organisations and having experience from modern development techniques such as Agile and DevOps.
You have advanced programming skills (relevant Golang)
Clean code, design patterns, SOLID principles
Test driven development (TDD), unit/integration testing
API design (REST/GraphQL), contract-first development
Experience with modern architectures; Microservices / modular monoliths, Event-driven systems, Cloud-native (Azure preferred)
You can perform analysis across various domains to identify opportunities for Artificial Intelligence based automation, process automation, Cloud based automation, self-service creation and delivered them successfully.
