To give you an idea of a typical day at Manetos, picture yourself having a new idea for a heating control algorithm you are dying to try out. You implement the controller itself in Node.js. Once you are done you can deploy the new code to our hardware installed at our customers' houses. You added backend support in our Scala backend, so all your data is streamed over Kafka. You collect the data and run your analysis of the controller's performance using Python with numpy and scipy. How big of an improvement did you see and can you save more money for the customer?
Our system stretches across several technological areas. We use embedded C for our own hardware and our sensors. The sensors currently communicate over Bluetooth Smart with our control-unit which is running Node.js. Our backend uses a mixture of Scala and Python which is tied together with Kafka running on Amazon AWS. Finally our web frontends are using Ember.js and Django.
We have a growing number of systems installed at homes of our beta costumers. Thanks to our continuous delivery pipeline you will be able to develop new improvements and features and have them affect the customer's home within minutes.
As an Engineer here at Manetos you will:
* Help design the next generation of heating control systems
* Help us go from our current beta systems to a commercially available product
* Solve issues in a wide range of different areas with different technologies
* Work with everything from embedded systems to machine learning, to backend infrastructure and web development
* Work together in a small, knowledgeable and agile company
You are a self motivated, self driven person. You love to work with data intensive applications. Writing scalable, high-performance backend systems is your passion. You want to work with the latest technologies, are keen to learn new things and also share your knowledge with the team.
We are a Stockholm based startup, developing among other cool things the next generation of smart heating control systems with our flagship product Scypho Heat Control. Our system reduces the energy usage of our customers' heating system, thereby lowering their cost as well as improving their comfort.
