Professional Galaxy is looking for a Software Engineer on behalf of our client.
Description :
We have the need for an extremely experienced principal 3D specialist/technical artist to lead the 3D deliveries for the M/XR area. The need in our space is to increase the speed and quality of 3D deliveries to ensure brand image as many of the applications will now be potential/actual customer facing. This person will need to transform stakeholder requirements to concrete development actions and 3D results. They will need to guide the creation, optimization, and integration of 3D assets into applications.
3D Specialist Profile * Solid experience with Art Direction to be able to drive the overall look and feel of the 3D data in multiple projects * Ability to speak to stakeholders and transform their requests into best-in-class 3D assets * Ability to contribute to and in parts lead the vision for 3D data within the Mobile, XR, and 3D domain * Ability to delegate parts of a 3D creation workflow to ensure quick deliveries without sacrificing quality * Knowledge of advanced 3D workflows and how to integrate them with modern software development processes * Experience working with stakeholders, project leaders, technical leaders, and developers to build and maintain project roadmaps * Strong portfolio of OEM centric work that is implemented in customer-facing applications * Expert general 3D modelling, lighting, shading, animation and rendering knowledge * Experience creating game/XR-optimized PBR 3D assets * Expert level Blender knowledge * Expert level 3DS Max knowledge * Expert level Maya knowledge * Expert in UV mapping techniques for texel optimized PBR baking * Expert in using tools such as Substance Painter and SimpleBake to create & bake game optimized PBR textures * Expert experience using Unity to import, structure, rig, animate, and stage PBR 3D assets for use in interactive XR scenarios, mobile applications, web applications, and standalone desktop applications. * Expert in creating 1:1 optimized subdivision surface 3D models based on CAD input geometry * Experience in using Pixyz Studio to import, clean up, structure and optimize 3D data for real-time 3D engine use * Expert in creating LOD-based 3D geometry for game engines * Ability to structure and optimize 3D data for animation and/or interactive systems such as rigid & soft body physics, constraints and inverse kinematics simulations * Good English language and communication skills
Examples of Tools: Blender, Autodesk 3Ds Max, Autodesk Maya, Pixologic Zbrush, PIXYZ Studio, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, 3D Coat, Adobe Photoshop, Unreal Engine, Unity 3D.
