hela Sverige Wolt Market is a chain of dark grocery stores available on Wolt's well known delivery platform. Wolt Market delivers groceries to our users within 30 minutes. Last year we took a leap forward with a dedicated product offering for Wolt Market - Retail Platforms. We successfully built from scratch several teams of talented Engineers, Product Leads and Designers building internal tooling within the areas like warehousing, assortment, catalog and pricing.
Currently two of our teams are looking to bring onboard Senior Kotlin Backend Engineers
Warehouse Team: building software used daily by thousands of employees working in Wolt Markets. Our core mission is building tools with more real time data that helps our associates work more efficiently. But more importantly, providing world-class experiences to improve their satisfaction while working in Wolt Markets.
Catalog Team: building a world-class product information management system which is a foundational system to all our Retail Platforms domains and is directly impacting our customer experience.
Kotlin for us is a success story; we started using it in our Fintech team but now it has spread to multiple teams across product development for building our microservices.
We're obsessed with high ownership teams at Wolt, which means you'll get to work in a culture of freedom and accountability. Our teams are in charge of their own roadmaps, how they build services and products, and how they solve challenges from new features to core scalability of their solutions.
At Wolt you'll always play an integral part in defining your team's ways of working, participate in architecture, CI/CD discussion meetings and decide on tools and best practices.
The teams collaborate closely with our Retail, DaaS, and Merchant (integrations) teams, share knowledge, best practices and infrastructure on AWS.
Our expectations:
We are looking for people who have several years of experience building high-quality software, APIs and integrations and can handle the whole development cycle all the way to production. We find strong expertise in other JVM backend languages like Java and Scala genuinely relevant as well. Other relevant technologies are MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and we deploy on AWS.
We value an attitude of constant improvement and the ability to create entirely new features from scratch. An entrepreneurial mindset of taking ownership of what you've built is a must. Join us with a huge opportunity to impact how the Wolt operations scale!
