Job Description
As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for developing software that is a competitive advantage to our business and truly differentiating to our customers and employees comprising the entire software life cycle (design, development, test, release and maintenance) and to translate business needs into working software. Regardless of area, tools or languages, as a software engineer you will build and configure solutions that are easy to maintain, change, keep safe and integrate to complementary technology, enabling a constant delivery pace to be kept indefinitely. This can be achieved through continuous attention to technical excellence and good design, with extensive use of automation.
As a Software Engineer, you are focused on value creation and growth by delivering and maintaining solutions/code that enables excellent customer experience and business results.
Responsibilities:
Translate product strategy and requirements into suitable, maintainable and scalable solution design according to existing architecture guard rails
Ensure software programs and devices work together seamlessly, with focus on integrating complementary technology into commercial software across functional areas
Decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions that operationally scale and are easily maintained
Use an experimental mindset to identify, evaluate and recommend alternative design options which take target environment, performance, security requirements and existing systems into account
Ensure that technical solutions follow best practices, are reliable, are easily maintainable and are scalable under sustained load
Drive testing and deployment of software solutions, including ensuring automated testing to ensure solution quality
Identify and share best practices with other teams as well as produce necessary documentation
Qualifications
Deep knowledge and competence in tech/or computer science
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Ability to manage smaller projects focusing on technical aspects
Experience in the design of a platform architecture based on most recent technologies and innovations
Maintain / support as required the technology platform with advanced monitoring and support solutions
Support software and data engineers with the operation of software solutions
Build high-performing and secure software solutions according to the customer needs with given tools and languages
