Your workplace
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter.
The Ground Support Systems department is responsible for ground support systems for systems such as Gripen, Neuron, Skeldar and Helicopter 14. The department's duties are to perform technical studies, development assignments and support the business area's products that are in service. The department is responsible for R&D, monitoring technology and long-term development planning within ground support systems.
The unit Tactical Support Systems Development is responsible for developing MSS (Mission Support System), which is for example used by pilots performing tactical planning and evaluation of missions. Our unit consists of systems and software experts and agile methodology is practiced during software development.
Your position
We are in an expansive phase and are now further reinforcing our section with more developers. Development of MSS is conducted at various sites and the results are delivered to a number of customers with varying needs. All development of the system is conducted in accordance with the agile methodology of scum teams in sprints. We have a number of development teams with various orientations.
As a part of a development team, you will initially begin with detail design and coding functions in our system, and in this way, successively obtain knowledge of the system. We determine the team you will be assigned to based on our needs and your interests.
With time, we can then expand your responsibilities and your duties depending on your wishes for the future.
Your qualifications
You are a certified engineer, graduate engineer or equivalent with some years of experience with the focus on system development. The position involves work that includes military classified information, and Swedish citizenship is a requirement.
You are innovative, energetic and dedicated, and like being an important part of a larger whole. Because you will have many contact interfaces within the project, your social skills are very important.
You have previous experience of working with programming and system development within complex systems. You are skilled in development with Linux as the platform. Qt experience is beneficial. You are familiar with the properties in the languages C, C++ and enjoy working agilely in scrum teams.
