Our department, Technology Frameworks are expanding and we are looking for two software engineers ready to join our mission of a healthier and safer society.
Sectra is one of the world's leading providers of IT systems for managing medical images. Our long-term ambition is to be the leader in making customers' diagnostics more efficient and contribute to proven improved care outcomes for patients. In other words - we create future-proof and effective solutions that help save lives.
At the Technology Frameworks department we are responsible for a technology platform, acting as the backbone for all product development within ImIT independent of diagnostic domain. The primary goal of this platform is to support the development, deployment, and operations of Sectra's diagnostic solutions at
customer sites.

Working as a software engineer
Our software engineers enable Sectra to deliver products and services to our customers by designing, programming, testing, maintaining and evaluating software solutions. In short, they ensure that we can deliver products with the right features, which solve the right problems for our end-users. We want our solutions to be perceived as easy-to-use, future-proof and effective and pride ourselves in truly understanding our customers environment.
Our development teams are organized into agile, self-organized group with a shared passion for technology who together are responsible for both the design, implementation, and quality of our products.
At Sectra, we hire for attitude and ability - train for skill. This means who you are is more important than your previous experiences. There are a few core abilities that are central for any role. We always look for your willingness and ability to learn and take on new tasks fast, utilize previous experiences and quickly grasp new information. We also want you to have a strong analytical mindset, since we consider your ability to understand, break down and solve problems very important. We also look for good communicators who have the ability to interact with colleagues, partners and customers in an effective, clear and constructive way.
In addition to these abilities, we also want you to:
Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree within engineering, IT or similar with a strong academic record
Have a strong interest in technology and software development
Be a team player eager to collaborate with your team members on daily development and operation tasks.
Be fluent in Swedish and English both verbally and written
Value customer contact and thrive in a fast-paced technological environment
We consider it a great asset if you:
Have experience of software development in agile technologies
Speak more languages than those required above
Have interests besides school/work, such as sports, music, creative arts, outdoor living or board gaming for example
Don't like to sit in unnecessary meetings, we prefer to think and develop software together
