At the moment we are looking for the right person to fill an open position as Software Engineer to our Firmware Services team.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Firmware Services is a team within Research & Development at Axis who is responsible for the development of new functionality in our software platform, in user-space Linux. The team you will be joining is focusing on Linux, Networking and PTZ (Pan, Tilt and zoom functionality).
As a Software Engineer in our team, you will be adding functionality and make architectural changes to the software platform. You will be involved in all phases of development - from innovation / first ideas and all the way through design and implementation until final release on the market.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a Software Engineer that has a general interest in technique, a genuine interest in SW programming and loves to solve problems both alone and in close cooperation with other colleagues.
We believe you have a Master's degree in computer science or equivalent and experience in C programming. It is an advantage if you have experience in networking, used to Linux environment and have programmed in embedded systems. As a good communicator you will have very good skills in English, both verbal and written.
Cooperation is a crucial part of Axis' success, so we believe it is important that you are good at working in teams and thus have the opportunity to develop through your colleagues. It is also important that you are good at communicating and explaining and that you can contribute to a good and productive working environment. You are a curious and technically-minded person and we expect that you are proactive and take initiatives.
