We are looking for a Quality Engineer with strong programming and automation skills to work in a team responsible for developing automation and testing the next generation features for Salesforce Chatter. The Quality Engineer will also create, document, implement and maintain test scripts for complex on-demand functionality in the Salesforce Chatter application areas. You should be self directed, team oriented, know and care what the customer wants from our service. This position requires healthy doses of initiative and flexibility in a very dynamic environment. You should like to break things, be exhilarated when you discover that really complicated bug, and be detail-oriented enough that you've actually had people comment on it.
Responsibilities:
You will be working on complex functional testing projects that require a deep understanding of the application logic and dependencies, including writing and automating front and backend java tests.
You will also advise your team on quality concerns such as improving design and development practices so the bugs don't get written in the first place.
Participate in the scrum team under our agile development process
Perform both manual/automated black box/white box testing
You keep up-to-date with industry advances in quality practices and you influence quality tools and processes company-wide because you have an opinion.
Write comprehensive test plans and tests cases
Experience Required:
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or similar
Hands on experience programming with Java
Must be hard working, team-oriented, bright, creative, and an exceptional problem solver Excellent written and verbal communication
Be able to articulate and speak up and be an advocate for quality for the customer
Solid test planning and test case generation skills, both automated and manual test cases
Desired Skills:
Experience using automation frameworks such as Selenium or JUnit
Knowledge of Databases and SQL
Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and XML/Soap
Ability to rapidly acquire and refine new and complex technical skills
