JOB DESCRIPTION
The Product Concept & New Ideas team is part of Axis’ Technologies department responsible for the creation and exploitation of new ideas for future products and features. Specifically we identify and implement means to stimulate creativity, we gather new ideas, assess their potential and perform prototyping activities.
As Software Engineer in this group you will contributes to the important process of identifying and assessing ideas for products and features that may provide a valuable base for Axis’ future success.
In your job you will:
• participate in prototyping activities to investigate new product and feature ideas
• be involved throughout the entire process from initial idea generation to implementation and eventual handover
• contribute to idea gathering
• cover different aspects of prototyping activities i.e. software and hardware
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic engineer with an Engineering/Technical Master’s degree (or equivalent) and an genuine interest in technology. You have a broad technology knowledge and some years of software development experience in Linux, C and embedded systems programming, preferably combined with knowledge in electronics and hardware design.
It is important that you thrive in an environment where you are expected to work independently without close supervision. Your ability to take/drive initiatives, share/expand your knowledge and sharing responsibility for the team environment will be highly valued, developing both yourself and the team.
