Who are we?
In the Volvo Cars Consumer Connectivity Services team (CCS), we build services to make life easier, like effortless car sharing, deliveries directly to your car, and moving your car to where it needs to be. The team is located in Sweden, the US and China, and many of the people you will be working with have experience from global tech companies such as Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon. This is a rapidly growing team, and we are looking for outstanding people who will be some of the earliest hires in their function, helping to establish it at Volvo Cars.
What you'll do
In this role, you will work on the Volvo Cars mobile apps for iOS and Android, building user facing products such as car sharing, in-car delivery or electric car charging, and/or improving our mobile platform. In addition to mobile phone apps, you can also work on products for wearables, voice assistants and in-car applications.?Tasks will span all the way from early concepts to?building?finalized?high-end products. You will work with teams across the company, across the globe, across many functions, such as UX, product management, and business development, and with external companies, like in our delivery collaboration with Amazon.
Who you are
We are looking for experienced mobile developers with an agile development mindset. You should have experience of building mobile apps for iOS or Android in Swift/Objective-C or Java/Kotlin, and have built apps published in App Store or Play Store. You have at least a BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential.
