We are now looking for a Software Engineer to join our Firmware Applications Team.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Software Engineer at Firmware Applications you will work with development of applications and add-ons on our Linux Application Platform, primarily within the field of video analytics. You will work closely with product management and be part of the entire chain from analysis, design, implementation, unit- and functional tests to delivery. Furthermore you will work with quality-enhancing activities such as debugging and bug fixing.
In your daily work you will be a part of a project and interface other developers and project managers, as well as a variety of different stakeholders throughout the organization.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you have a genuine and solid interest in programming and a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent. You have extensive experience from C-programming in a Linux environment. Since you will work in an international environment it's necessary that you have excellent communications skills in English, both written and oral.
As a person we think you are a team player with good social skills. You are open minded, eager and willing to learn. You thrive to take responsibility and take pride in delivering quality on time.
In addition to the above, experience from one or more of the following areas is desirable:
• Automatic control theory
• Script languages, e g LUA, Python
• Visualisation and GUI-implementation
• Algorithm development
• Image analysis
• Developing for the open source community
THE FIRMWARE APPLICATIONS TEAM
The Firmware Applications Team is a new team within the Products & Services department. The team will be responsible for developing applications and add-ons on top of the Linux Firmware Platform. This means taking an overall responsibility for the specified areas regarding roadmap, development, architecture, competence and quality. The team will work very closely with parallel teams and with Product Management to build a common firmware distribution for our whole product portfolio and to build system solutions for the market.
