Your role
Saab TransponderTech have a market leading position since 20 years and we are currently developing the next generation of market leading software defined radio products. We do this to meet the international demand of systems for enabling more environmentally efficient transports and increased safety at sea, such as the upcoming VDES standard. With many exiting on-going and upcoming projects, we are now strengthening our team even further.
You will be part of our development team, which execute a variety of development tasks in several parallel projects; from research in future technologies to maintaining availability of existing products. It is a highly efficient team of 22 persons designing and implementing all part of the product, from mechanics, electronics, FPGA firmware and application SW, to user documentation. We are proud in the ability to deliver highly advanced platforms and products for sea, air and space. A typical product development project has a duration of 2 years, from idea to serial production. Most of our products are manufactured to stock, ready to be shipped to customers worldwide.
Your role will be as embedded C++ developer for our complex systems. The challenge in front of you is to understand the system architecture, which requires the ability to understand the electronic design, the interface standards, communication links and crypto algorithms. You will be working on several hardware platforms and towards different customer segments, making your tasks varying and challenging. The responsibility of each engineer is great. Ensuring appropriate testing and verification is done before release is part of the job.

Required skills:

At least 5 years experience in professional C++ programming.
*
At least 1-2 years experience in embedded C++
*
Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
What you will be a part of
With us at TransponderTech, you will get to be part of Saab but still have the feeling of the "small" company. In our Linköping office we are about 35 people working mainly in the global civil market and we are market leading in our product segment. The portfolio consists of VDES radio transceivers for land, ships, satellites and aircrafts as well as advanced navigation and presentation systems. The site includes all functions, from marketing and sales, to product development, production planning and logistics. The relationship between own working efforts and company results is very clear.
TransponderTech is located in Hackefors, 10 minutes from central Linköping in modern facilities with guaranteed car and bike parking right outside the office building.
