Software Engineer - Component Leader
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As SOFTWARE ENGINEER - COMPONENT LEADER (2 OPENINGS) within the group Control Modules in Powertrain you will work with engine control systems which involves ensuring of requirements for software and hardware. You will be responsible for a broad span of job assignments and develop a comprehensive view of the technology and different car projects. As you will work in close contact with different departments like project managers and suppliers, you should have a strong ability to communicate and to cooperate. The position will implicate the exciting mixture of technical work, project management and an alternately work in an international work environment.
Job profile:
• Develop software plans in accordance with project milestones
• Support the purchase organization in the quotation process
• Release specifications and documents in administrative systems
• Develop working processes within the position
• Be responsible for the Software Requirement Specifications
• Develop a wide professional network
Your profile:
• University degree of Engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of powertrain and electronic systems is an advantage
• Experience of leading projects is an advantage
• Enterprising and good ability to work independently
• Very good ability to plan and structure your work
• Analytical and open-minded
• Social skills and a team player
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Driving license
