On behalf of a non-disclosed client, we are looking for a Software Development Manager (SDM),based in Gothenburg. The client, whose Head Office is based in Ireland, is an international player within the gaming industry with Casinos as their core business. Their products are sold with excellent success on the international market. This client, who financially is very solid, is the market leader within their niche.
Reporting to the company CTO, the SDM is a key leadership role and responsible for strategically managing product development as well as performance of people within their product area. The SDM is accountable for ensuring that the products are enhanced and evolve technically to support the business vision and strategy. In addition the SDM is accountable for project delivery and will work with the project management and team leads to safeguard delivery as well as quality of products.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Build and Leads Successful Product Teams: Aligns team performance to ensure product and project success
Stakeholder Management: Building strategic working relationships both internally and with clients to ensure efficient product adoption and operational absorption.
Develop and Implement Team Business Plan: Develop and manage the product roadmaps to ensure the technology evolves appropriately to meet the business strategy and vision.
Facilitate Continuous improvement: Develop and maintain frameworks which enable improvement in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
Manage Team: Oversees all aspects of the team ensuring the teams are equipped with the required skills and effective feedback loops to deal with motivation and non -performance appropriately.
An applicant should have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
Experience of managing a software development team with 20+ team members
Comfortable operating autonomously, within set guidelines
Hands-on management style and able to communicate at technical level with developers
Professional experience as a software developer
You have a technical degree, probably Computer science or similar
Requirements:
You are fully proficient in Swedish and English, spoken as well as written
You will be working in a company with worldwide operations hence you need to be able to travel on a regular basis
