Our Global R&D team works on a diverse range of products and technology including intelligent camera systems, battery sipping security sensors, advanced access control solutions, bespoke user interface devices and the Verisure Central Unit which acts as the "brain" of the system enabling communications between all devices and the Verisure backend.
About the role
Based in Malmö, you will be leading a team of highly skilled engineers responsible for the alarm logic of the gateway firmware. This is the core of the alarm system installed in millions of homes and businesses.
As a technical manager, you are expected to set the priority and direction for the team and lead them to deliver business value for the gateway firmware releases to support our expanding business and product portfolio.
You will work with talent-, process- and strategy-development. We expect you to inspire, empower and challenge employees to develop themselves, provide career development planning and opportunities
You will take lead on technology discussions, helping the organization to take efficient decisions or make conclusions. Furthermore, you will collaborate across the organization to secure end-to-end quality deliverables to our customers and internal stakeholders.
Together with the management team of the departments you will plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of work processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.
The team currently consists of 5 software developers and 2 testers and will expand.

We are looking for a person with a strong interest in leading, motivating and growing people. You are able to create trustful work relationships across all levels and to contribute to collaborative teamwork. A successful candidate should also have hands on experience of software development and/or technical project management.

* Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* Previous management experience in leading software engineers in agile technology organizations
* Excellent technical communication skills, both written and oral
* Proficient English skills
