Our challenges are unique - you will solve technical challenges in a large-scale distributed system with high requirements on performance, scalability, security and maintainability. You will drive future solutions that will impact how we run Amazon Video worldwide.
Basic qualifications
Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Experience in developing in Node.js with a solid understanding of asynchronous program flow
Highly proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript
Experience of Docker
Experience of cloud technologies, such as AWS and/or Azure
OS fundamentals and systems architecture
Algorithms, data-structures, efficiency, concurrency, performance optimization
Experience in working in an agile environment with continuous integration and testing
Strong adherence to unit/system testing
Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal English communications skills
Highly pragmatic; we use technology to solve real-world problems expediently
Preferred qualifications
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
