Who is your future team?
We are four different teams working with AXIS OS - Security, Streaming, System and AXIS Camera Application Platform, (ACAP), where we provide open APIs and an SDK for application development. Each team is responsible for driving feature development, maintenance, refactorization and investigations of new and exciting technologies.
AXIS OS is the platform that makes our products stand out in the market. It is built to stand the test of many challenging environments and operational conditions. To be able to do this we try to stay close to the cutting edge of technology.
We simply like to learn new things. We are always open to new suggestions that can improve our product and as individuals we are always happy to help each other. We are all simply passionate about software development and we are now looking to grow our teams.
We have currently open positions in all four teams!
What you'll do here as AXIS OS developer?
AXIS OS is our operating system for edge devices. It's used in more than 300 products with the broadest partner application reach in the security industry. It's a Linux-based OS that's built around openness, transparency and cybersecurity.
Each team has its own area of expertise but what we have in common is that we are involved in all phases of development - from idea and all the way through to design, test and implementation until final release on the market.
Our teams work closely with other parts of the R&D organization, and together we provide products and solutions. We offer stable and user-friendly APIs for our users and value highly user's feedback when building new or improving already existing functionality.
Who are we looking for/Who are you?
We think you thrive in an environment where you get to solve complex technical challenges. You also enjoy working in smaller groups with other skilled engineers with a culture that is characterized by cooperation and shared responsibility. We believe that you are a driven software developer who has a relevant education at university level. We think you fully understand and love modern software development where focus is on incremental releases, user needs and data monitoring. You like to take initiative and influence with your ideas and thoughts.
We'd love to hear that you have/are:
* Experience from C/C++ development
* Familiarity with Embedded Linux
* Knowledge of Git, GDB-debugging, Wireshark, Valgrind and Jenkins
* Bonus points if you have experience of network programming, multimedia and cyberscurity.
* Familiar with modern developer tools like Docker and perhaps have a good understanding of computer vision development
