hela Sverige Job Summary: The RAN Incubator unit is a new organization established within Product Development Unit (PDU) 4G5G in Business Unit Networks. Our target is to work close to our customers, incubate new ideas, collaborate, and further accelerate product development. Here we work as one organization end-to-end from study/ pre-development until first actual product. We challenge established flows with new methodologies and are active in open source communities. We are in the process to expand our team with exceptional individuals with the desire to change and shape the wireless industry. You will be part of a multi-functional team in a highly demanding environment where providing expected results on time is our common key priority and measure of success. You should have a strong drive to deliver results with demanding deadlines, take responsibility and have a genuine interest to set our common goals as your main priority even if this means working outside of your comfort zone and expertise. We are looking for a software developer that are interested in building the next-generation data-driven operations platform for telecom networks. The telecommunications field is transitioning towards virtualized and cloud-based platforms and Ericsson is leading this transformation. The organization you will become part of: The RAN Incubator organisation is responsible for development of Radio Access functions on a server / cloud infrastructure including required management and orchestration solutions for the 5G future. The automated management and orchestration solutions are an area where our unit is heavily involved and together with other organisations have a common responsibility to develop. In addition to programming our assignment include tasks as setting up the environment, tools, testing framework and develop strategies together with some of the exceptional people already involved. What you will do: Together with other developers you will work in a team who is responsible for the products we develop, from early phases of ideas and drafts - all the way to customer delivery. We need people with mixed competences in the development chain including design environment and test environment. The team is responsible and needs to have the required knowledge to drive the software products from start to finish. Each member of the team contributes with their expertise. In addition to work tasks solely related to the software product itself, communication, and coordination both between team-members and teams are essential. Work with state-of-the-art service and network orchestration as well as data processing frameworks, technologies, and platformsWork in a multi-functional agile team with end-to-end responsibility for feature development and deliveryThe tasks range from development of prototypes and proof of concepts to development of full fledge productsWork with other software developers, data analysts, data scientists, and decision-makers, such as product owners, to build solutions and gain novel insights. There is a need to further strengthen our organization with skilled people with various experiences. Therefore, we are searching for people who are eager to create something exciting and want to join us on our journey. Key Qualifications: Solid background in computer science and telecommunicationExperience with one or more general purpose programming languages like Java, Golang, Python and C/C++Skilled in software architecture and design patternsExperience from systemization, programming, testing and troubleshooting of large applications and systems Advantage if you have experience with one or more from the following: Knowledge in virtualization, cloud, and container technologies, preferably with hands-on experienceKnowledge in development of microservices and in particular Java with the Spring framework, including reactive programming patternKnowledge of message busses (like Kafka, Nats, ZeroMQ, NanoMQ)Experience with machine learningExperience in open source development and tool chains for continuous development and integrationKnowledge of network and systems architectureExperience in software development of management systems, alternately a mix of development and operationsExperience from working with SW architecture, agile methods and continuous integration Who you are: You enjoy working in a team and interact well with other people in a positive and collaborative environmentYou are comfortable bringing clarity and focus to widely specified assignments and adapt fast to changing requirementsYou enjoy exploring and solving technical problem using your creativity and perseveranceYou are truly passionate about creating clean codeYou enjoy learning new technologies and move between different tasks You have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent discipline, or the equivalent level of knowledge.
