We provide an advanced analytics services using a SaaS platform that is used by a group of progressive district heating companies. There are many interesting avenues for improving efficiencies while making the industry greener.
We are now looking to expand our Data Science team with a Software Developer interested in Big Data and Data Science. You should enjoy working with complex problems and be open for having customer relations on technical matters.
Who we believe you are
You feel comfortable with writing Python code that is object oriented as well as maintainable and testable. You know how to work with Git (or another version control system). If not already acquainted with Docker, AWS, Jenkins and CI/CD environments you are very willing to learn.
We expect a strong theoretical background with a master's degree in
Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Engineering Mathematics, or
similar.
You enjoy working with others and like to explain what you are working with and the choices you make.
Responsibilities
Utilifeed requires a data scientist or software developer who will be:
• Performing R&D tasks to develop the algorithms required to produce new insights for our clients that will lead to new features.
• Improving our data ingestion pipeline, we anticipate the need to improve the methods used and add additional layers of automation.
• Working with on-boarding new customers, making sure their data can be read and make sense in the platform.
Technical skills
We would like you to be knowledgeable in:
• Python including object oriented programming and regression testing frameworks
• Git (or other version control system)
• Linux
It is meritorious if you have experience in any of the following areas:
• Docker
• Machine learning
• Data cleaning
• SQL/Postgres
• AWS or other cloud services platform
Additional skills:
• Good English skills (the language of communication for the tech team).
• Swedish is desired but not essential.

Utilifeed is rapidly expanding and this means that there will be room for personal growth both technically and challenges brought about by the company scaling, allowing lots of scope for personal growth.
You will be expected to work within the data science team, we work in an Agile environment and hold daily stand-ups. This is one of the mechanisms we use to provide support to each other in the R&D team. We also make an effort to transfer knowledge between team members with talks and pair programming.
