The story of UniCarriers Europe AB began in 1958, when Knut Jacobsson founded his Atlet forklift company from an apartment in the centre of Gothenburg. The factory in Mölnlycke has an annual production capacity of 12,000 forklift trucks, and has seen changes in the last decade with the arrival of innovative new products like the IFOY Award-winning Tergo URS truck and welding robots, which have successfully reduced lead times. The factory site became the headquarters for UniCarriers Europe in 2015.
The flexible and individually customizable transport solutions for logistics and warehouses are manufactured at UniCarriers production facilities in Sweden, Spain, Japan, China and the USA. Products are sold via specialist retailers, as well as directly to end consumers by an experienced team of sales experts. Essential customer sectors are the automotive, construction, electronics, food, logistics and pharmaceutical industries as well as the heavy and manufacturing industry.
Do you want to take part in, influence and take responsibility for the development of tomorrow's warehouse trucks? We are now looking for a future employee and team player for our department within product development, the Product Improvement Engineering department.
Product Improvement Engineering is a cross-functional department for the development of existing models with the main areas of responsibility for the software development, mechanics, ergonomics, plastic structures, hydraulics, and electricity. Right now, we are in an exciting phase with interesting challenges, whereas your role will have a major impact on the future.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
As a Software Developer at UniCarriers, you will work on the development of the various main control systems in our trucks. Your primary tasks will be systematization, programming and verification. In addition, a certain part includes specification, hardware requirements and documentation of hardware.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
We are looking for you who have a Technical University education or equivalent and have a good experience of similar tasks.
You also have experience of C programming in a hardware environment as well as a broad knowledge of electronics with a good overview of components and constructions in embedded systems and a good understanding of CAN / CANOpen.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
To succeed in the role as a Software Developer, you need to be genuinely interested in controlling mechanics and curious about future digitalization and its capabilities. In addition, you have a well-developed ability to work in teams as well as good knowledge of English.
