Your mission
Epiroc Rocktec Division is facing exciting new challenges and is currently seeking software developers to work with control systems and automation solutions for our Surface Mining equipment. Currently we have several of our customers running their drill rig fleets autonomous and there is a big demand for continuous development and digitalization.
The work includes software design, development, Continuous Integration and simulation. Our development ranges from on-board automation to autonomous systems. There will be opportunities to travel to customer sites for testing or fault tracing.
To meet customer requirements we believe that customer visits and a continuous dialogue with the customer is a vital part of your job. We have a lot of expertise in the group and knowledge sharing is a keyword within our teams.
You will be joining one of our Agile Software development teams. The Control systems development is concentrated in Örebro for Epiroc Mining and Rock Excavation business area. Today there are 220 developers at the automation department.
Your profile
You hold a Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer science, Software Engineering or similar. To thrive in this position you have experience in C++, Python and are curious of software development for machine control. You also have a wide experience in embedded software development, object-oriented analysis and design. Experience with modern SW development practices such as CI/CD and robotic field is a plus.
To succeed in this position you should be creative, driven and like new challenges. You are a team player with a desire to contribute to your team. You also have strong English skills both verbally and in writing, as English is essential to communicate with both internal and external contacts
