Volvo Group Telematics enables & accelerate customer-oriented off-board telematics service development & delivery. Volvo Group Telematics supports the Volvo Group whilst the WirelessCar brand is used to support external customers in the Automotive Car OEM segment such as BMW and Audi.
Job description
Volvo Group Telematics is looking for experienced Java developers. You will be a part of a team that, through the use of agile development methods, designs and implements telematic solutions based on the latest cutting edge technology. You will be an important part in developing the next generation of telematic solutions.
Qualifications
We are looking for experienced Java EE developers with a strong background in web application development.
In your professional career you have probably worked with some of the following;
• GUI design, Javascript, HTML5, CSS, GWT
• JBoss Application Server, Tomcat
• Web services, EJB3
• Design patterns and Object oriented analysis and design
• Database design and implementation
• Hibernate, Oracle
• Mobile application development
• Agile methods of development like Scrum, Kanban
You are a person who likes to take responsibility and act in a result oriented mindset. You have the ability to address problems from a critical point of view and you are not afraid to question the requirements and proposed solution.
We expect you to have adequate academic qualifications, the ability to establish and maintain good relations and the right mindset to work in global, multi-cultural organization. You are proactive and have a strong drive to continuously challenge and increase your competence.
You also have to be proficient in English, both spoken and written.
