As Software Develop Engineer at 91820 Propulsion Systems Testing within the group Propulsion Testing, Systems & Methods, you will be responsible for the challenges in both develop, maintain and implement new features but also keep a strategy and be updated on knowledge through our suppliers and networks. Further, you will work in cross-functional teams with other groups within the R&D and the Laboratory. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars' journey into the future.




What you 'll do
You will be responsible for implementing Software setup in Test Bed Control System and conduct problem solving investigation when required. You will be the expert regarding questions from users and plan and manage activities through a cross functional team to bring out new functionality.

You will also:

* Participate in development of testing methods and new testing methods
* Optimization of simulation performance in system test beds
* Develop and maintain a personal network with simulation community within VCC R&D
* Plan and manage TAS (TestAutmationSystem) activities through a cross functional team
* Document TAS processes and models within system test beds area




Do you fit the profile?
You have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering. To fit for this role you have a good have knowledge in Battery and or Electric Machine Development, of measuring systems and in software architecture design, Networks, Protocols and Control systems. You are also fluent in English both written and spoken.

You are a team player with strong communications skills and a genuine interest of technology. You are able to work independently and take required actions on own initiative. You are a fast learner with an analytical and solution mindset. Your technical competence, as well as your ability to manage complexity in the systems and collaboration with different teams should be strong so that you can make your own decisions and technical conclusions.
