ABB Robotics develops, manufactures and markets robots and associated control systems, software, arc welding products, tracks and motor packages. A clear focus on automated solutions helps manufacturers improve productivity, product quality and safety in the work environment through automation. The robots and robotics are sold via local ABB companies, as well as via independent systems integrators and OEM companies.
As an ABB employee your day-to-day work will touch the lives of millions by helping to provide innovate products, automated solutions and cutting edge technology.
You will be part of a team of exceptionally skilled software developers working to find solution to some of our biggest issues at customer sites. The team often faces challenges of finding what the source of a problem, but also finding how to make fast, robust and lasting improvements that the customer is happy with while also figuring out how to get to a solution even faster the next time by developing new features. This is not possible without great teamwork within the team as well as with other teams and programming and closely together on problems on daily basis is more rule than exception.

Your responsibilities
Finding efficient solutions to customer issues.
Developing the next generation support functionality, including diagnostics, online support, guidance, data gathering and analysis, fault tracing and more.
Keeping service-minded communication internally and externally.

Your background
A M.Sc. in Computer Science or related discipline with strong programming focus is required.
Competence in embedded software development mainly in C/C++.
Knowledge in good methodologies for solving bugs and improving performance and robustness.
You are structured, result-oriented and you do not compromise on quality in performance of your duties.
This role may normally require travelling to customers, but due to the current pandemic this is not possible.
