The company is now expanding at their site in the city of Karlstad, Sweden and have open positions for Junior and Senior Software developers for Embedded systems and C-programming.
About the position
You will be working as a software developer in projects developing 4G and 5G networks for mobile communication.
You will be working agile in 3 weeks-sprints in a Scrumteam with one Scrummaster and 7-8 developers, stretching from Junior to Senior levels. You will have a dedicated mentor for you - meaning you will get very good support.
As a newly graduated developer you will at first be working with troubleshooting and code analysis. The existing code is in the C-programming language and the code itself is the documentation which means you will be working most of the time within the code, where troubleshooting by reading the code is a great part of the work.
For Senior delevopers the tasks will also be within C-programming but also other tasks will be suitable for you, depending on your earlier experiences and ambitions.
The development process is characterised by abstract programming which means that this suits you if you are motivated by methodical ways of problem chunking, programming, testing and documentation of the results. You will be able to work with emulators and simulators where you get to simulate the front edge within processors of radiotechnology.
As a developer you will be working closely with other developers, architects and system managers to solve yours and your teams assignments.
Your qualifications
• Degree in Computer science or closely related field that have included C-programming language, at Bachelor or Master level. Degrees in Electrical Engineering, Technical Physics including programming is also suitable educations for this position.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Courses in Radiocommunication and Signaling are meritorious.
This position will also be a good fit for a developer background within Automotive- and Defense industry regarding embedded time critical systems.
Personal skills
To succed in this position you will have to be persistent and have a genuin wish to learn. You will also have to be analytical and patient in your mindset when confronting a problem or challenge. Identifying errors and the root cause with troubleshooting, analysis and testing takes quite a time, weeks or even months. This is where patience and persistence is one key factor to be fit for this position.
Further career possibilites
Tieto will be focusing on a long term relation and will give both time and prerequisities to learn. There is also good possibilites to engage in other technique fields and roles as Technical project leader and other managing roles.
Terms
Start: According to agreement or as soon as possible.
Extent: Full time, permanent.
Work hours: Monday-Friday 8-17 (8 am-5 pm)
Location: Karlstad
You will initially be employed consultant by Procruitment with the aim to be employed by Tieto.
