We are a team with mixed and broad experiences and competences who develop Linux based software for Axis Audio products
We work with technologies such as sound processing, audio quality, software for configuration and set up of speaker systems, software for scheduling of audio streams, content management, among other things.
Our code is mainly written in C but we also use other language such as Rust and Python. We also work with open-source components and standards such as GStreamer, RTP and MQTT.
What will you do here
Your tasks would include
* Joining our product development projects, developing network audio products within our portfolio
* Analyzing, designing, and writing software for features in our upcoming products
* Troubleshooting and solving issues wherever they are, from applications to Linux kernel drivers
* Collaborating with other teams inside and outside of New Business
As Embedded Software Engineer at Axis you will play an essential part in the development of our new products.

You are a person that is not afraid to challenge yourself and dare to speak your mind, at the same time, you are a good listener and take your colleagues opinion into consideration. We would love to hear that you have
Working knowledge of C and Embedded Linux.
It would also be good but not mandatory to have
Knowledge about:
* Rest APIs
* OpenAPI
* Agile development methodologies
* UNIX shell
* GStreamer, ALSA and audio codecs
* Experience in Git, Yocto/BitBake and Jira
* Understanding of network programming and related protocols such as MQTT, TCP/IP, RTP, HTTP and WebSocket.
