Software Developer - Active Safety Configurations & Diagnostics

The department Active Safety & Vehicle Dynamics Functions is responsible for function and software development within the area. The department develops world leading functions within Driving Support, Collision Avoidance, Automated Drive and Vehicle Dynamics.

We are now looking for a Software Developer Active Safety Configurations & Diagnostics within the Software Quality & Integration group. The responsibility of this group is to provide support to all in-house software development within Active Safety and Vehicle Dynamics functions, in terms of architecture, integration, quality assurance, project leadership and configuration management. The group is also responsible for some of the common software components that we develop in-house at Active Safety and Vehicle Dynamics Functions. These components are related to configuration and diagnostics. Thus, these software components are central in the software architecture and it is important that they contain the necessary functionality in order for the Active Safety and Vehicle Dynamics functions to work properly.

Main responsibilities

• Develop common software components used for configuration and diagnostics of our Active Safety and Vehicle Dynamics functions
• Fault tracing and troubleshooting
• Work in all phases of the software development, from early specifications to the product launch phase
• Write software in different programming languages
• Use automatic software generation and verification methods

Required qualifications

• M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Automation or equivalent
• 2-5 years of work experience in function and/or software development
• Driver's License B
• Experience of development in Matlab/Simulink
• Experience of development in C/C++
• PhD within Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Automation (or a similar area) is meritorious
• Experience of working with ISO 26262 and AUTOSAR is meritorious
• Experience of other high-level programming languages like C# or Java is an advantage
• Experience of test-driven development is meritorious
• Experience of diagnostics within the automotive industry and experience of NVRAM handling will also be meritorious
