The Simics Technology Center (STC) is part of SSG and is responsible for development of the Simics product for use internally at Intel and externally through Intel's subsidiary Wind River. The team has its major sites in Sweden, Russia and China. The modeling tools and development group's goal is to create the best environment for development, configuration and deployment of virtual systems.
The Simics Product
Simics is a simulator used for the definition, development and deployment of complex digital systems. It enables customers to improve their product development life-cycle. Simics is fast, accurate, scalable and extensible, with a rich feature set and with models of processors, SoCs, devices, boards and complete systems. Simics is used internally at Intel and is available commercially to third parties through Intel's subsidiary, Wind River. You can learn more about Simics at:

Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
This is a software engineering position within the Simics Technology Center. The job consists of development and support of Simics, with a focus on the simulator framework.
Responsibilities of this position will include:
• Improving the Simics simulator in areas such as hardware and software debugging, software analysis, virtual machine management and real world connections.
• Creating models of new hardware.
• Working with both internal and external customers to support their use of Simics.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
We are looking for a recent college graduate with a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar. You should have graduated from the degree program no more than 18 months ago.
General software development skills, such as knowledge of programming tools, languages and environments (for example: C/C++, Python, Java, SVN, GIT, Eclipse, Linux and Windows) is a requirement.
Experience with user interface design, simulation, embedded systems, operating systems and compilers is beneficial.
We welcome applicants with a genuine interest in software development who are, for example, active in open source development, have an interest in esoteric programming languages or are working on their own pet projects.
